Natalie Field is a creative image-maker based in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she works as a conceptual portraiture and fashion photographer. She is passionate about travel, yoga, the art of storytelling, and unravelling the "Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything". And she has her doubts that the answer is 42.
All life exists in this constant state of flux.
I believe that creation (the physical world, including our bodies) and consciousness (the immaterial force of life) are a single energy. And this energy is the soul. Einstein’s first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. This is in line with the concept that the soul is immortal. Through this image I wish to celebrate this infinite cycle of life, and alleviate the fear of death. For, in time, this energy that was once you will transmute to form new life.
To me, this continuation of the life-force is the transmigration of the soul.

We are, quite literally, STARDUST.
Biological life evolved from chemical elements.
Homo-sapiens are just another step in the story of evolution.
The question is, "Where will we go from here?"
