The illustration depicts Jacob Zuma's extroverted personality using the metaphor of a South African "Street Barber Shop". The image plays on the word "Mshini wam", which here references the hairclipper rather than the AK47. Hand drawn type is typical of the price lists of street barbers, where customers pay the amount depicted next to the picture of the haircut. In street barbers, methylated spirits are used to disinfect the scalp - here is is retinterpreted as the force of the ruling party.
