Sam is a French artist living in Biarritz, south west France, who practices what he calls "beach art". Using a rake, he draws huge frescos on the beach at low tide.Inspired by the ethic of street art, he uses a natural public place to make free art accessible to all.
His "drawings" sometimes search for simple beauty, sometimes broadcast a message wich may be explicit and written directly on the sand or communicated through a design.
His biggest ever artwork measured around 1.5km.
Once the draw is completed, the task of photographing it begins. These are taken from the maximum angles possible, from the cliff overlooking the beach.
