Bet Your Bottom Dollar is a well-known expression, meaning: if you can bet your bottom dollar on something then you can be sure of it. My interpretation, in 2007, has a reference to the American Democratic party (the democratic symbol is a donkey). And of course the play on words of 'BOTTOM' also referring to an 'ASS', otherwise known as a 'DONKEY'... The dollar symbol showing that one day (if you bet your bottom dollar), the democrats will rule again... and I was right!
