Kerry Hammerton is a poet, writer, facilitator, acupuncturist, reiki master, daughter, friend and lover. She studied poetry at school, Wits University, the London Poetry School and the UCT Summer school. Her poetry heroes at the moment are Carol Anne Duffy, Ruth Padel, Tamar Yoseloff and Finuala Dowling. She has had her poetry published in South African poetry magazines New Contrast, Carapace and New Coin, as well as online at Litnet and a poetry journal called Incwadi. Kerry has fewer wrinkles than she should have at her age – or so her friends tell her.
